Need to get things on this site rolling again. Quick update... Lord wizard sleeve has his neighbors in Augusta thinking he is leading the polls as the republican candidate. Eazyluvin sold this website for $1,000,000 dollars, sold his Panhead and bought two new Goldwings him and Pie left 3 weeks ago on the Goldwings to travel the world inside sources say the have not made it past the BS general store in Follets yet. Buck Norris allegedly has not been seen since he put Chuck Norris in the hospital after a name argument outside of Dons Pub in Donahue. Catfish is up to his same antics fishing and church. Dwayne Goodtime has changed his handle to Dwayne School Time. Sr. Wrong way has developed a obsessive compulsive disorder and buys everything in pairs nobody can figure this out.... and J.R. Watson well he keeps geting better looking each day.... 6 months in a nutshell.

So yesterday catfish stopped by in his new truck yesterday 60 degrees in the shade great day for a ride. Graylon is now into HOTRODS along with Trains, Trucks, and pretty excited about no carseats seat belts or hoods. ..... As for the truck very nice! The interior leaves a little to be desired with capacity at 2 men, 1 man to be and 3 beers between the seats. The cozy interior is offset with a nice feature however, this is the absence of a rear window making the 12er in the Bed completely accessible. Cant wait to hit the gravels this summer in this thing!

We really couldn't have done it without the old men. There are things we do everyday that we can thank are pops for. Whether it is calling for an emergency tow when the knuck battery goes, rushing the panhead together to make a trip last minute, holding on to a rusty old Beezer for 30 years, spending countless hours with a panhead rebuild / cross word puzzles, teaching us how to farm, teaching us how to turn a mean axle on a lathe, or just turn a wrench in general, some of the most important things in our lives we learn from our Old Man.

So let's reach to our boot's and tip one up to the original outlaw's, Happy Fathers Day.

It was a big weekend at the Iowa Dice party. Toomey made it back to town and rode over to the party and still didn’t qualify for the free t-shirt of traveling in for over 200 miles? Photo from my mentors archive. This cat rolled a fully decked out knuck. Back in 2001 before I was sporting a fake mustache or a knuck myself I was buying a new roadking and this bike was on the display floor of the Waterloo, IA Harley Davidson. I know it was this bike because of all the accessories and the colors. So fast forward to 2011 and add 10 grand for inflation to the 2001 price tag that was on this bike and you should be able to drive to Waterloo and buy this thing for a total price of $110,000. You may get them to throw in title and registration... not likely taxes. I am guessing its still around with the price tag I think the bike was a '39. My mentor shared the gent pictured wound up on the wrong side of law and split town, judging by the suspenders and hat the '39 was the coolest thing about this guy.... could be mistaken probably not.

I took a trip to LA to see some compadres and check out the David Mann chopperfest right when it was getting really fucking cold here in Iowa, which was nice. It was about 80 in the middle of December, I could get used to that. I was celebrating my birthday the whole week I was there, my liver took a beating for sure and I wouldn't have wanted to sit next to me on the plane ride home.

This is one of my favorite bike pictures from my Fox stash... of pictures. Its a rigid pan, chrome springer with BUCKHORNS on risers. I like the slim front profile with the buckhorns up top. Kinda reminds me of a Hot thin woman with a pair of huge bolt ons up top... not something you necessarily want to own but definitely something to look at!

Dwayne Goodtime has been making some solid progress on his stocker 61, things are looking up for the summer to come. Nights in Dwaynes shop are fun, he has a sweet security system on the service door out back where we keep the beer in the winter. Church pew and mini van seats for when you need a break from standing. Manuals and tools scattered about the floor at all times. Better than the teardown, when it looked like the oil spill happened right in Eldridge on his floor...

At the antique meet last year Big Daddy shared these pictures he had from his youth... pretty sweet. It seems as a young man they followed behind the Dalton boys who had good taste in cycles. Dirty still has his '69 and '49 as one should they are even sweeter than the pictures in real life!

Dirty's '49 is one of my favorite pans of all times, springer with knuck fenders, well used saddle bags, Buco Mirror all the right fixens--And its still gets ridden!

Another 8x10 picture my mentor had in his stash. The Knuck pictured here was one Fox threw together for his protege of the day. Apparently the kid cleaned parts and hung around the shop. Fox built him this knuck (88") and gave it to him when he was a senior in high school.

When they were building the motor after they had the cylinders bored they were in the trunk of a car that was impounded as evidence, apparently they towed and impounded several cars for evidence.... A little birdie told them where all of the cars were being kept in an old warehouse. Later that night they went over a retrieved the cylinders along with several items of "evidence" from other cars which were impounded. The cops ended up with alot of cars, but no evidence. The knuck build was completed shortly after this chain of events with only an evening of delay.

Can you imagine a VW bus for the rainy days and a sweet knuck the rest of the time?

Road trip

After a haul to my mentors, a trip that has been planned for over two years, I was finally able to scan over 200 pictures of pure vintage choppers. Uncle Pie and Wally were in tow and helped make an excellent trip - some good stories at Foxes, and on the road.

Fox (one of three mentors) was, and is, an icon of sorts. He is pictured below in the Georgia correctional facility pants circa 1970, these pants are the real deal before they were cool Japan 40 years later.

Anyhow enjoy....

With Christmas rapidly approaching Graylon has been putting together a substantial list. I recently came accross the story of the USS Pueblo, a ship captured by North Korea in 1968. The crew was held for most of the year and the North Koreans tried to produce propaganda showing that the US service men were happy to be there. They could not get the servicemen to say anything against the US, but they released photos of the crewmen to make them appear happy to be in North Korea. The captured sailors had a message of their own, once they figured out the enemy did not understand the meaning of some American hand gestures.

They took their photo shoots as an opportunity to show the world what they thought of their captors, even though they knew they would be severly punished when the North Koreans figured it out.

They made huge sacrifices just to stick it to the enemy. Remember them on this Veterans Day as well as the men and women doing that every day to ensure we keep the freedoms we enjoy.

Rotten Weekend in Chicago

It's been a coons age since I have had the opportunity to partake in the festivities that my fellow Whore Monger, J.R. Watson, implements. He opted to leave his mc at home and rode out to Chicago on his unicorn. We locked down a secure place for him to hitch his ride up for the evening before getting deep into the festivities.

A few of the boys from Kemosabe & The Lodge put together an art show Fri and Sat night. We headed over to take it all in. Crazy times were had we saw some familiar faces and met some new over the course of the evening while taking in the good vibes from all around as well as the ever so popular {{ Free }} PBR. J.R. caught a cab ride home a little earlier than myself, only to be awakened by an irate cabbie in front of our pad. We figured his next stop would have been the cop shop.. I stayed back at the party drinking whiskey out of a boot flask with some old gray hairs outside the bar.

Saturday night we stopped back through before heading to check out Bingham and The Dead Horses, which happened to be right next to the Rotten Eagle's nest. Took a few more pics of what the show had to offer while there.

The dude driving said it was his Dad's car and he was trying to buy it back to whoever he sold it to after his dad died.

What makes a Whore Monger is sometimes left open to interpretation in other cases its crystal clear. In Jimmy Browns case its crystal clear for multiple reasons, 1. He runs a 59 Panhead, 2. He runs a sidecar, 3. He runs a "Rathje Special" for a seat, which provides automatic Whore Monger status.

Jimmy was at the labor day swap meet in Davenport a couple years back, it was the last year of the field games. Eazy, Wally and I were competing in the field games along with Sr. Wrong Way. Jimmy mentioned he needed to bolt up his third wheel and compete the following year. I think he figured the competition was easy to beat as there were only two sidecars and we were heavily medicated in PBR and were sitting ducks in his eyes. So fast forward a year the AMCA guys turn into bigger pussies than they already were and cancel the field .

The memories of Jimmy's sidecar rig remain a childhood memory, the last time I saw the '59 it was solo at Wackey's 50 B-day party. It looked great then but again it was solo, a wheel short. So this year the first year in several years I miss the sidecar rally and low and behold Jimmy's bad ass pan shows up in a video..... as does the seat.

I have a call into him for more details on his rig and the the entire Whore Monger story....

So I was rummaging through some old pictures and came across this pic from 2006. I had caught wind of a cheap 500 Triumph and had to check it out. Being a complete broke ass at the time and scraping the barrel for beer money, I called my brother, Sr. Wrong Way to let him in on this complete sweetness. The S.C. and myself went and bought it for Sr Wrong Way. It has gone through lots of stages from this point, but none in a running matter. Ever wish you would have left it alone, maybe tightened that exhaust up and rode off into the sunset??

Buck Norris and I rolled to Des Moines on short notice Saturday afternoon to go see Hayes Carll perform his magic at Vaudville Mews. Always a pleasure to party with Dustin & Dani..

Met up with Maggie, Annie, and Jonny after they were partially recovered from the prior evenings hangover - right when we were getting a good start to ours.

Good show. Afterwards we headed to a little place where we basically tore the roof off and burnt up the dancefloor - all while jamming to some karaoke. Looks like it got the best of Buck according to the quiet ride home. Till next time, stay loaded.

Labor Day Weekend '10

So this was a pretty epic year at the fairgrounds over labor day for the swap meet. S. Cowboy and I both took Thursday and Friday off so we could scour the grounds early and look for somebody giving something away. The beverages started flowing at an early hour as well as the fun. We concluded that it was the year of the Panhead down there, it seemed everywhere you looked there were Pans for sale.

Met Josh and Scott as well as some of their compadres from out California way on Thursday. They seemed to want to do a little local partying on Friday night after the races, and what better joint to really take in the rich Iowa culture than So-Co?

Fast forward to Friday - We do it all over again during the day, anxiously awaiting Sr. Wrong Way's arrival. After a blowout on his way up from Texarkana, he finally made it just in time to jump on his Pan with the rest of us and head to the races. It felt pretty sweet to be rolling with both of my brothers on our Pans - Kinda fuzzy inside... which could have been from the alcohol I suppose. Dwayne was kind enough to bring some supplies and a great mode of transportation to So-Co for later on, the infamous SUV..

Details of the Theatre may have been a little sketchy, but even if I remembered all of the dirty details, I would hate to divulge them on the world wide web.

Already looking forward to next year. I am thinking a formal Tour of all the local gentlemen clubs might be in order

People travel from all over the globe to come to this thing, its insane the amount of shit that shows up. Chances are that if you are looking for it, it will be there - it might just be a little pricey. I took a bunch of pics, but until I gather my thoughts and organize pics, gnaw on this Indian for a while...

I was looking to share some wisdom leading into the long weekend. I remembered when I first met many of you mongers out in the greater QC area and that first big party weekend I attended at the fairgrounds in 2008. I brought my lady at the time with me, and told her that I had met some good guys from work, and that we should stop out to the fairgrounds to see an "antique motorcycle rodeo". What ever the hell that was. I showed up with a cooler of PBR, and from that weekend on I new I had made some lifelong friends.

The boats are loaded and the whoremongers are soon to be. Tomorrow marks the 2nd annual Crocked on the Rock float trip. Last night as emergency preparations were being made to line up canoes as the Hydro Pimp met an untimely demise earlier in the week. Vollbeer, Dwayne, Goodtime and I were working on the boat situation while Easy was again working on his Pan.
All week Eazyluvin was becoming more delusional as he has been burning the candle on both ends. Layin pipe by day, on call at night and still managing to find time to get parts, wrench on the Pan consistently only taking breaks to hydrate with a couple of cold beers.
Well the Pan project has been a long time coming only because every bolt, nut, and wire on the thing has been meticulously inspected. Hes been visiting my LeClaire Mentor and my Davenport mentor seeking parts and advise…. I am not sure exactly what hes up to but I would not be surprised to see him running the Tank Shift Pro class next Friday night at the flat track races. The bike definitely has a super tune!
So last night Eazy’s over there wrenchin and we are preppin the canoes we turn around to find him giggling in a delusional state with the following addition to his Pan.
When we asked him what it was about he simply replied “Its gonna get Western”He must be looking to maul some of the competition next Friday night?… Eazy get some rest.

Lord Wizard Sleeve as a young Prince

One thing whoremongers have in common is a common desire to bust knuckles working on various projects in need of repair. This is the only known picture of lord (prince) Wizard Sleeve with a “big” “wrench”. Time and time again he has carried on about his "big wrench" with the young maidens, only for them to return disappointed.

The real story on this picture is Wizard Sleeve on the right proceeded to drop the wrench grab and shotgun the 2 PBRs behind him. This was the first time and he was heard saying watch this shortly after only to amaze the rest of the neighborhood with a alcohol induced stunt. (Best Part is the van would still roll afterwards)

Well, I have had some problems with batteries for the Rat Pan. I have been left stranded twice by 6 volt batteries taking a shit. I think I have found a battery to cure my ills, but I tested this theory, just in case it happens again. I disconnected the battery and hooked up a 9 volt batt from the junk drawer in the kitchen to see if it would start the bike.

Never again will I have to enlist the help of some pals to lift the Rat into the back of a pickup due to battery failure. As long as there's a smoke detector around, I can get a jump start and limp it home on the generator.

Its about time to post a picture I grabbed of Joe. He associates with the lodge members in IL. I first met him at the Dice show over in Des Moines.... rode from Chicago.

Any how really good Kat rolls a sweet ride, 27 cents. I captured this picture at born free in LA, she’s no trailer queen she made the haul no problem running a little late to the show (riding directly there), but he proceeded directly to the bar on 27 cents and proceeded to party the rest of the night. Piss poor photo but that’s the Duke and Joe in the shot. Take special note of the yellow paper with black duck tape all the directions needed from before salt lake to LA, written in some sort of road warrior language.
