Happy Fathers Day
A tribute to our fathers, and a hat's off to the fathers of the funseeker local 69.
We really couldn't have done it without the old men. There are things we do everyday that we can thank are pops for. Whether it is calling for an emergency tow when the knuck battery goes, rushing the panhead together to make a trip last minute, holding on to a rusty old Beezer for 30 years, spending countless hours with a panhead rebuild / cross word puzzles, teaching us how to farm, teaching us how to turn a mean axle on a lathe, or just turn a wrench in general, some of the most important things in our lives we learn from our Old Man.
So let's reach to our boot's and tip one up to the original outlaw's, Happy Fathers Day.

Here is to TECHNIQUE
On my last trip to E-Town, Dwayne Goodtime shared with me his views on technique and the importance that technique holds in nearly every aspect of life. Whether it is the way you deglaze and radius your shoes, approach a chicky babe, or arm wrestle at 2:15 am at Al & Gerry's. It doesn't matter; each man is entitled to his own technique. It is your own metaphorical thumbprint, if we shared the same techniques in life, we would lead boring, repetitive lives.
Here is to technique, and what "it's" all about.

DICE Taco Man

It was a big weekend at the Iowa Dice party. Toomey made it back to town and rode over to the party and still didn’t qualify for the free t-shirt of traveling in for over 200 miles? Here is a picture of Toomey holding the taco eating contest trophy when he signed up for the event (note: he no longer possesses it.)
Great event, good people and we even managed a couple of cold beers.

To all those that missed the event …. It may have been the last one, sorry.

Mentor commentary

While some mentors seem to let me down others pull through Fox and Red Dog came through together. Red Dog delivered written comments from Fox on all his vintage photo previously obtained.
Here are the comments from Fox on picture above:
36 VLD found in a barn in in Tipton Iowa, sent to Angelo in Richmond C.A., who once painted "Know Ye this is the kingdom of kicks wine, bikes, drugs and chicks - Angelo H.A. ""69" " on the wall of a hangout. Fox is uncertain if he ever received the 36. (oh yeah shotgun found int he same barn)

All dressed up and no where to go...
Photo from my mentors archive. This cat rolled a fully decked out knuck. Back in 2001 before I was sporting a fake mustache or a knuck myself I was buying a new roadking and this bike was on the display floor of the Waterloo, IA Harley Davidson. I know it was this bike because of all the accessories and the colors. So fast forward to 2011 and add 10 grand for inflation to the 2001 price tag that was on this bike and you should be able to drive to Waterloo and buy this thing for a total price of $110,000. You may get them to throw in title and registration... not likely taxes. I am guessing its still around with the price tag I think the bike was a '39. My mentor shared the gent pictured wound up on the wrong side of law and split town, judging by the suspenders and hat the '39 was the coolest thing about this guy.... could be mistaken probably not.

California - Drinking - Knuckleheads - Hangovers
I took a trip to LA to see some compadres and check out the David Mann chopperfest right when it was getting really fucking cold here in Iowa, which was nice. It was about 80 in the middle of December, I could get used to that. I was celebrating my birthday the whole week I was there, my liver took a beating for sure and I wouldn't have wanted to sit next to me on the plane ride home.
